Casita Shed with Verandah

Shire garden buildings are made from a high grade ship-lap tongue and groove construction. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper sheds from other manufactures.

Tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements. The timber used is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.

Framework: The Casita has a robust planed 35x35mm (1 1/2' x 1 1/2') framework (walls and floor) that gives the garden building strength.

Floor: The shed's floor is manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Roof: The shed's apex roof is constructed from 12mm Tongue and Groove panels with included roofing felt.

Walls: The shed's walls are constructed using high quality 12mm thick softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern boarding.

Windows: These are properly morticed and tenoned. They are opening, profiled, and weather resistant. The window has a unique profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is 3mm horticultural glass which many other manufacturers do not use as standard. All glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred (no awkward corners to be cut).

Doors: are ledged and supplied with a padbolt. Please note: all measurements are approximate and Shire's garden buildings are made from metric measurements.

Treatment: All Shire garden buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire the manufacturer recommends that you apply a water based top coat of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your shed making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer's instructions.

Supplied flat packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price with clear easy to follow instructions.
