The timber used is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.

Pressure Treatment - With this treatment a preservative is forced into the timber under high pressure, providing effective long term protection against rot and fungus. Pressure treatment is almost colourless except for a light green tint caused by the copper content in the preservative. You can personalize your Shire Arbour by either painting, staining or it can just be left. In the course of time, the treatment greys, but this does not affect the quality.
