The Shire Garden Studio Summerhouse is constructed with high-quality, slow-grown, FSC-approved northern European pine.
It features 20mm rebated bevel cladding superlap boards for enhanced durability and aesthetics. The structure is built on a robust 44mm x 70mm (2" x 3") square framing, ensuring stability and longevity.
The double doors provide easy access and are equipped with a mortice lock for security. Two opening windows allow for ample natural light and ventilation.
The roof is made of 12mm tongue and groove boards, covered with heavy-duty green mineral roofing felt for weather protection. The floor comprises 16mm buffalo board, offering a sturdy base for various activities.
The building is dip-treated for initial protection against fungal decay and insect attack; however, it is recommended to apply a high-quality, water-based timber preservative for extended durability.
